I feel that your reaching out to him was an act of compassion for both of you.

Just recently I learned the real reason for a long past family snubbing.  It happened 30 years ago and  I had largely forgotten about the occurrence.  Hearing the the reasons as to why it went down the way it did gifted me a surprising sense of peace.

I am sure as time passes you both will benefit because you shared your story with him.

NYM-  Where does she say she wants him back in her post?  You can still love a person without being with them.

NAS-  Sorry I don't see anything in Nah's recent posts that leads me to think there is any desire for understanding.  If I wish to understand something I tend to ask a question not make a statement.
