Title: Anti-cheating ring - Yea or nay?
Post by: Thundarr on July 01, 2012, 09:59:51 PM
It sounds preposterous, but I can see this getting popular.  I enjoyed hearing the banter of the hosts and the "relationship expert" that cites jealousy as the reason for extramarital affairs.  How does that work?

I don't think it will help prevent infidelity among married people.  Don't most of them already know the other person is married?  Or in my H's case they both knew the other person was married and chose to engage in adultery because the deserved to be happy.   Wouldn't have mattered if he had it stamped on his organ of interest.

To many a wedding ring means just the opposite.  It is a safe relationship that they can enjoy in without having to deal with the long term commitment.  Many of these types of people also bail when the married partner they are involved with gets divorced and becomes single.

This.  My H actually said what he and OW have in common is their mutual bad marriages.  It's what has bonded them.  Without us, they're nothing. ;)

Well they are something - but it isn't repeatable here :).
