Title: A Message from our True Spouses

While I was on vacation one of my best friends posted this about a close friend she had lost to cancer, and while we were chatting we both agreed that in many ways this song could very well be about what my W would want for me were she her old self (or at least when she still loved me).  The more I pondered it the more I thought about how we often speak of our spouses being gone mentally and the alien taking over their body, so I thought this would be very nice for all of us to remember the person who we love and who we know at least once loved us.  Read the lyrics, or just close your eyes and imagine your loved one sending this message to you as you work toward enjoying each day of your life.

Thanks for posting Thundarr....  Had my ex died before the aliens took over, I'm sure she would want me to dance.  I thought about this very song too...  my ex doesn't seem to 'dance', she always sits it out...  always.  It is so very rare that she does what she wants.  Even now.  I don't believe she is doing what she wants.  She doesn't work and doesn't really go out that I am aware of.  She never takes the kids anywhere....  Maybe her idea of having fun changed...  she seems to always be at home...  doing what she has always done... clean house, and cook and care for the kids....  just without me.

Lovely, now I'm crying.  Bah.  But yes, this is what my W did say to me many times.

Thundarr, thanks for posting the song. I fell in love with it the first time I heard it several years ago. Beautiful!!! I am tempted to send it to my H's email because this is how I feel about him. Although in my mind I add "with me" to the chorus of "I hope you dance!"
Your post on Ready 2's site said that you both have H's who are Capricorns...hence my confusion. I know you have a wife but thought maybe there was more going on in your life than I knew. No judgments!! (JK)

Hey Thundarr,   My H is a Capricorn also. Lately the horoscopes for them speak of a need for authenticity and listening to their hearts. ::)

Capricorn December 20th 2012
While Venus, planet of love will remain in a nostalgic part of your chart until the New Year, your old solar year reaches its final day. With your birthday month kicking off tomorrow likely to draw more of your attention towards the future, embrace the chance today to take a trip down memory lane with both your rose coloured glasses on but also with your eyes wide open.

Bumping this thread as I thought it was appropriate given the fact that so many seem to have reached a place (or made a resolution) to move forward in their own tunnel and start to find light again.  I am reminded of the story of an LBS from here who several wrote about began singing and dancing for the first time since BD during an LBS get-together in 2011 (one of the other veterans here currently as I remember but I cannot place who at this time) and everyone that was present remarked about what a great sight it was.  I've decided that this year I will dance once again (meaning Dance Central on Xbox 360 in my case, lol) and I hope many more here find the strength to do the same.  Perhaps we can even designate an LBS Dance Day as a means of fellowship and camaraderie.  Hmmm.....

As long as I don't have to dance to anything by One Direction.  D12 is really getting me burned out on them.  :)

Gangnam Style is a different story though.  I bought the download for that!!

I'm probably one of the world's foremost 40+ year-old experts on 1D by now.  I know the words to most of their songs, sadly.

And so many Just Dance 4 fans here!  Anyone have a Kinect?  We have all 3 Dance Centrals and Just Dance 3 and love them!  Definitely recommended!
