If Maria would want Arnold back maybe the marriage had a chance. Arnold is the cheater, makes no difference what he wants or does not want. It is up to Maria. Does she wants him back?...

 I don't know what woman on this earth that would want him back...he's a serial cheater.  No identity crisis with him.  Maria's crazy if she ever takes him back..he will do it again.  This was his reputation before , during and after.
