Off-Topic Re: Spread the Word--Any Marketing Ideas?
#10: November 13, 2012, 10:01:07 AM
In September the main site was showing 300+ visits each day and was starting to show some days above 400.
In October there was a jump to mostly 400+ each day and some above 500.
This month most are above 500!!!!

The blog usually has fewer daily visitors, with peaks in days I post where we get 300 or 400+ and lately there had been a couple with 500+, but only a couple or few. Then on Sunday the blog had 1016 and yesterday 1100 plus!  ;D  Where's the surprised emoticon! What happened? I mean I knew those posts would spark talks, but a double in views?

So I have started an account at Pinterest and am creating some pictures with text to put up--I then have been selecting to send them to twitter automatically when I put them to Pinterest. MY twitter then streamd to facebook--my personal and fan page. But I think I'm going to remove the facebook stuff because if I upload directly to facebook, the pictures show full size and if I don't they show as little thumbnails. So from now on I will try to put the pictures up directly to facebook unless they are me repinning someone else's stufff from Pinterest--because I don't know how to put that up to facebook directly. So the repins will be thumbnails.

But--and this is so cool--I have now put a Pinterest button at the fanpage and you can click that and view all the images in the folders I've set up--and it will not take you out of facebook.

I've also decided to start hitting the twitter button when I read blog posts from some of the infidelity blogs I follwo--that hit me yesterday...DUH, why not tweet them, it only takes  second.

Oh, and I just found and activated a new plugin for the Blog Archives. Check it out. http://loveanyway.theherosspouse.com/?page_id=844

This is just for a chronological archive--nothing yet on getting a functional category archive. If you click on each month, it will expand to show a list of posts in that month. Why can't they do the same thing for categories--and put it in the same archive page--a column of each type so the page isn't too long.

I have noticed! So has Still Standing, see his shout out on his messages thread.

I am having trouble tweeting when you aren't.   :) :) :)  LOL LOL.  GREAT JOB!

We are seeing more followers on twitter and FB!

I think that will also translate into more members here.

Keep up the good work!

I have recently noticed your twitter activity and it is brilliant. the need to keep a low profile and anonymity keeps me from being active on the facebook page but I will and do read it . Thanks for the twitter presence x

Great job with the Twitter! :)

I just wanted to apologize for failing to follow up on my offer. I started a document on my review, it's half-way done -- but then I sort of hit a wall and sort of dissolved into unproductive goo. I'll try to get it to you as soon as I can.

Facebook FanpageSo I know that some people don't want to like our facebook fanpage because they don't want the posts showing up on their public timeline--I get that. But still, how can we promote that--and for those of you who don't mind the posts coming through on your timelines...come on over and like us!

So I am just going to comment here about this.

I LIKE the HS fan page, also the DB page, MA, coalition for Divorce reform and lots of other pages having nothing to do with this subject.
I have never gotten a comment from any of my relatives or real life friends about it.
I dont do very much commenting on these pages or liking posts but they do show up on my timeline, which is valuable as another source of information IMHO.
So I guess my point is, even if you dont LIKE the pages you should visit us on FB and read  what has been posted.
It is good info, review, and keeps you more up to date on what is happening, social media wise in this area.

Bumping this up and letting you know that Hero's Spouse FB page has been posting daily tidbits and words of wisdom from RCR at 2PM EST each day.

I will try to keep doing this for the forseeable future, and thanks to DGU for providing me with the RCR quotes.. :) :) :)
