I know I bring up Johnny Depp all the time, but really, could we have a better MLC mascot?  People are really noticing how off he is, too.  Had to share this article.  The lead in from TMZ also made fun of Amber Heard being an affair down from Vanessa Paradis.

Best quote: Oh, friends, don't you ever just look at Johnny Depp sometimes and go "What happened?"

Not sure if we can have  Johnny Depp in the category... He was always off. Now he is just more off and, most likely, in MLC. But he is such an odd guy that it is hard to know if it is MLC or simply him being more off.

I'm always willing to talk about Johnny Depp.  :)

Direct quote from JD:
Quote
"F--- that! You're still warriors, man."
Playing Tonto?  Wasn't he a sidekick?  A Hollywood Indian?  How is Tonto a 'warrior'?

Okay so he probably did it for the $$$ & yes Anne he has always been [deliberately?] on the fringe, but that is the worst justification...

I think he's in mlc because he was always that bohemian, young guy--a persona he continued for well beyond youth--who has suddenly realized he's not young & is quite bourgeois.  Classic.

What lead-in from TMZ?

He does not need money, Calamity... wait... he may, if he is having a MLC... his most be a very expensive one...

Tonto a warrior... right...  ::) ::) ::)

yes Anne he has always been [deliberately?] on the fringe, but that is the worst justification...

Would say part deliberately, part because he was (is) off. Many actors are off and explore those traits to the max. Think he did that.

He is not young anymore but he look ok for a 50 years old. Bourgeois... you mean multimillionaire, right?  ??? ??? Do americans have bourgeois?... Thought that was a continental European thing...

Johnny depp looks really silly in that picture, he's like a parody of himself now. He seemed quite cool when he got with Vanessa paradis and shunned Hollywood bs in favour of the rural French idyll. He used to have vaguely interesting stuff to say compared to most hollywood actors. he did some good films too, Now he just seems like the lame MLCer who drinks too much and has a really really young GF!

Never disliked him but he was not a favourite of mine so maybe I don't see much of a difference in him... To me he was always off (not necessarily in a bad way). The one think his MLC proves is that it has nothing to do with how beautiful, rich, cool, fantastic, famous, etc., the LBS is or is not.

Huma Abedin, a Stander: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2013/07/23/weiner-comments-on-new-sexually-charged-messages/?hpt=hp_t1

With politicians wives I'm always cynic. They have lots to loose if they divorce them. See Clinton.

Still, most politicians, once the affair is found have to resign so they suffer some consequences, at times heavy ones. Many of our MLCers can carry on without anything falling on their heads for a long time.
