Wow, talk about good timing, I just found out I have high (low end of high) blood pressure. Given that I have a low BMI, eat healthily, exercise regularly and don't smoke AND I've never had high BP before, I suspect anxiety. I too find that the breathing techniques just make me more conscious of trying not to be anxious (I need to get a grip
). Yes, I agree with Treasur about walking and also yoga is great to focus on your body and just be present. I find the yoga community an additional bonus, being in a supportive and trusting environment is really life affirming.
