Mermaid,

I met with a few of our LBS friends a few weeks ago as part of a private celebration and I came away feeling tired (too much singing, talking, eating and drinking) yet renewed.    It is good to be around people who understand instinctively where we are and are just there for us.   I hope you and everyone else get to enjoy the weekend and comes away with the same sense of not being alone that I carry with me after meeting people through this forum.   Every now and then we need a top up so I hope to see you at a future event.

Well I need to get my act together and get packing..Fox,Niff Naff, Eternity. Crazy and all the others...I wish you could join us, but I know there will be many times in the future for us to get together for a sing song  ;)

Now voyager and hyperglad are here, as well as xyzcf and dragonfly. Last night we spend many happy hours on the rooftop terrace of the hotel, in the still warm night air, drinking wines from the Alentejo and Douro valley until 1 a.m. We laughed and talked so much! I only got home at 2 a.m., as I live in the countryside not the city.

It's still sunny today, and we're looking forward to Stayed and her husband arriving at lunchtime.

Fun and games to come....
