 I can respond to this.

During my W's last return(lasted 9 weeks),she seemed to be totally out of the fog and had a great dal of clarity about what she done....was showing the signs of remorse, not just guilt etc.

She was sharing with me some the crazy OW antics she had experienced and they reminded me of the stuff I had seen watching the Shmoopie series(e.g.OW wanted to move into our house;go to Hawaii;drinking expensive champagne;wanted to be pregnant;buying jewellery that I would wear;OW trying desperately to compete with me etc.)so I mentioned these cartoons and my W wanted to see them.

So I pulled them up on the laptop and we watched together.W was BLOWN away but how accurately it described her adulterous relationship. She said it was actually quite helpful to her psyche to see it portrayed with such ingenious humor.

Of course,it still didn't prevent her most recent return to full-on replay antics and back to OW.

Bat $h!te crazy you say?Oh yeah

Yep, bat$hit crazy we say.  ;D Funny that in a clear moment your wife was able to see it like ti was but, soon, she went back to replay and OW. My husband did something similar between OW1 and OW2. Phew... sometimes they can take forever...  ::) ::) ::)
