2 years since he left... divorce was filed a year ago, nothing going on right now. Seems like he and OW are done...will take some more time! Seems comfortable being around me and the girls. Relaxed without her, but does not want me...or anyone else...all that matters are his daughters...

Devoted wife and mother.

Happy Turkey day !!  Even though it may be hard pressed to be thankful for today but if you reach down I know that each of us will find something.  If anything be grateful that we have our Lord beside us and He loves us and will be our guide and strength in this very hard time of crisis.  Love, Peace & Joy to all of my friends here.

Yes, I am thankful for my girls and grandkids, my mom and sisters.  As far as God, I feel he has abandoned me because I am the one hurting and my H and ow have won.  It is not fair and I used to be a strong christian, not anymore.

I am glad you all have the faith and Ihope you will never fell abandond.

Happy Thanksgiving
#4: November 22, 2012, 06:34:23 AM
To all the newbies, and perhaps not-so-newbies who find themselves in a down cycle around the holidays, I want to extend my heartfelt wishes that you will find some peace during these difficult times.   I know how hard it can be, but I promise you that it won’t always be this way.  Time does find a way to heal.

I have spent many a holiday fighting the tears or desperately trying to ignore the aching I had in my heart for what I wanted most; an intact family.  Slowly but surely it does get better.  Those painful desires for what isn’t become replaced with contentment for what you have.  There IS hope, there is joy, and there is peace, whether you reconcile with your spouses or not.  We can all do this.

I am counting my blessing today, and this forum with all its members is one of the blessings that I have received that I am so very thankful for.

Thanks to all of you for sharing, and everything that you do.

I am thankful, truly thankful today. Mainly because I feel a sense of peace that has been missing for a very long time.

I am grateful to all my friends and family who have helped me through this storm. For this beautiful world and all the opportunities that we are given.

This morning, I woke up to a Happy Thanksgiving email from my husband, there were no such greetings for the last three Thanksgivings. I am thankful for his message.

May you all have a day of peace. I hope that something will make you smile today. Find one thing that you are grateful for and go from there.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We have so much to be thankful for... I just went out to lunch in the brilliant sunshine 8) and was praising the Lord for my many blessings.
Last night, I was going through a terrible midnight hour  :'( and I clicked on YouTube and found a 1hr48min video from the Gaither Homecoming Series called Count Your Blessings. What a pick up!

I agree, sometimes it is hard to find something to be thankful for, but all we need to do is find one and go from there - I am also very much at peace today :)

Greetings All!!!
This is my third Thanksgiving post BD and finally, I am able to enjoy it for what it is. I did dream about H and OW all night last night which was odd, but I was able to shoo the thoughts away upon waking and get back to life. It does not mean it is easy, but it is possible and more so with each passing day. Do not give up. Do not give in. Know that tomorrow is a new day and with each breath we take, healing is happening.

I am grateful to you all and for the strength, wisdom, friendship and hope I have found here.

Much love,
Phoenix
