Just saw this..../.
Great that you guys are doing this. Wish I could come.  Consider the beach next time.....Charleston, SC or Isle of Palms or Sullivan's Island. They have rental houses by the week.

Have fun!

With the beginning of July tomorrow, I wanted to reach out to the male constituents and get our lodging plans in order for the meet-up in late August.  In some earlier posts, I can't remember who posted something about a deluxe double suite or something like that and the cost for each would be around $500 or so.  With other summertime expenses, I would like to know if either of you would have any interest in just getting a double queen room which would be about $300 per night so for both nights it would be around $200.  This is just rough figures.  I wanted to gauge the interest.  Feel free to offer any other suggestions.

And for everyone else, has there been a definite number committed for this?  I know nah and airmid have reserved a room and I believe Medusa, Book, Blindsided and 27 years have reserved a room.  I am aware of potentially another two or three people who have expressed interest.  I guess now would be about the time to see what our real attendance number figures to be.

If you are feeling down, know that God Has always had a wonderful plans for you.  Unfortunately, there are things that happen and forces that work to try and keep us from reaching what He has for us.  The good news is that there is healing at work.  God is always working in and through your life to try to get you to where He wants you.

I learned yesterday that I owe my wife $10,000 plus just over $1000 per month, which I don't have just lying around,  so anything that might bring the cost of the meetup down would be appreciated.

Hi MBIB,

I believe the cheapest arrangement is the room with 2 beds and a sleeper which would mean 3 people to a room at about $750, so $250 each for the weekend.

With my divorce having started and no roommate so far I am exploring options as well. May be coming with two girlfriends so I can also do the $250 for the weekend. Still waiting to hear back from them but they are very interested. Good that there will be two of them because they can hang out together during the times I spend with all of you.

I'm not tied to any particular scenario so whatever makes it easier for everyone else. Bail, MBIB, we need to discuss what we want to do. The cheaper version is ok as well as the others.

I can swing either but a less expensive version would be easier. But I think the plan was for everyone to hang out in the men's suite, right? Hard to do if the men don't have a suite.

Hahahaha, Nah.

Another alternative is to get the cabana to hang out in if there are any left. It would be $400 for the weekend. I am willing to put in $100 of it for that. And maybe the rest from others, like $30 each since it seems there may be 10 or so of us.

Only downside of the cabana vs the loft is no kitchen. So can't cook. Everything we eat would be take out or restaurant. But meeting is the most important aspect so whichever way it goes, it goes.  :)
