Meet-Up Re: Mid and East US Meetup

Hi Guys,

Sorry I haven't been posting anything new about this. Just started a new job. Been busy. And past few days have been stressful. H has reached a new low. If you read my last post you will know what I mean.

Hoping to have final word tomorrow or at end of the week the latest. I am looking forward to meeting those of you I have not yet met.  :)

Thanks for your patience.

Hi Everyone,

So here is the deal. Group sales rate not likely. Need to do ten room minimum. And one night's rate would have to be paid for each room in order for them to put a hold on the rooms. So individual reservations is how it will go.

I was told that the rate for the August 28-August 30 weekend would be $738. That would be per room, for anywhere between 1-4 people. The rooms have 2 Queen size beds and two pullout queen sleeper sofas. So if 4 people to a room it would be $184 plus tax and fees. If 2 to a room, it would be $368.50 plus tax and fees. Each room will have to be reserved and paid for separately by the occupants. 855-515-1283.

Let me know who thinks they will be coming. And give me your thoughts on how many to a room for each of you so we can see how to formulate roommates.

Thanks!

Willit,

Couple of questions???? How soon to we need to book for the block of rooms, and pay the one night? Also are we still going to go with the group cooking plan, and everyone signing up to bring stuff. Also does this rate include the water park entry for everyone in each room? Hope I am not being annoying.......I am a planner! I am also so excited!

Giving up does not always mean that you are weak; sometimes it means you are strong enough to let go.

No not annoying at all. Lol.

The water park entry is included.

As for the LBS Lair, it would be $1743. That is for a two bedroom corner loft with kitchen, table seating for 6, a couch and a fireplace and a deck. Half has to be paid upon reservation on a credit card, so not sure how to do this. I don't know if people would be comfortable with sending me $175 money orders (presuming there would be 10 of us) so I can put it all together and book it. If more than 10, will return partial refunds to everyone for the difference. Suggestions?

Hmmmmm, that is a little steep for some of us. While I think it is a great idea to have a place to gather and cook it would prob be more affordable for everyone to do their own thing for meals. Just my .02 worth.

Hi,

Still interested in attending, however would need to share a room because of cost.  If anyone would be willing, please message me.  Thanks!  Also not sure where others are coming from, but would be willing to pick up and share a ride. It appears I'm about 6 hours west.
