Believe it or not, I think I want to start preparing myself to run the next ING marathon that takes place in New York every year in November. I figure if I write it down, it's a little step closer, to actually doing it. I'm not a runner, though ::)  but I can try. :)

If you run... who is going to take pictures?  I will tell you what... I will take pictures... but someone else has to drive... cus I am not dumb enough to drive in NY :)

I can get one of those fancy stabilizer lenses or something. I'm sure I'll be stopping at every ten feet anyway. ;D

Oh, absolutely a helmet cam... so when I pass out, it will still be taking shots, lol, of the runners that pass me by. ;D ;D

Thanks Warrior! I've been thinking about it since I went to that last one. Anyone can do it... that means... so can I. :D

WOW what an awesome goal SG.
I had a similar goal, which I accomplished in running my first 5K.  Did it and still know I hate running!  LOL
H loves it so it can be his hobby.

Wow, I can't imagine running that far.  Awesome goal.

Thanks Sassy! :)  I know it sounds so ambitious of me. The thing is, my Father & sister go to this event every single year ( as spectators - it's their thing ) and I went with them for the past two years to take photos. It's very inspiring. :D

SGG I saw the London Marathon last April, and determined to do it next year!! Its April 22nd and I have my entry ... I did a marathon before ... a long time ago (decades!!) but it is an awesome goal and an awesome thing to do ...  believe me its really tough, but when you watch the event, you realise that anyone can do it, you just have to put the hours in training, and be determined to do it!

I'm sure you could do it SGG!! I would love to do one in New York ... I have a friend who lives in Brooklyn, I visited her twice last year, I love New York!! :) But I guess London is OK too! xxxx

This thread is great !
my GAL has been good, I'm studying so work on that, I'm a musician so work on that. I've take up new opportunities to develop my life in MY way. I'm enjoying my space very much and enjoying organising the house and evenings in with my girls.

Through this forum I have come across this thread
http://www.fluentself.com/
and love it because it isn't about  relationships it is about self. working on your stuff stuff and it is only about self focus.
I see a Kinesiologist and have had IC (free 6 sessions) through my GP. It all helps. and my friends are wonderful as is my family. I feel blessed,
the more open I am about my life and future the more doors have opened and that's good.
I'm feeling ok at the moment and still standing for now.

Thanks for the encouragement, Ipxpe! :D  I guess that's why your thread title says: "I'm running a marathon... ". I must have missed you actually mentioning that you plan on running one in your thread. ;)

I love that it's a very introvert-friendly activity while at the same time, it's connecting with the masses to achieve something great. I could just put my head phones on and go for it. ;D

Thanks for the site link, Missy. It looks interesting!
