Ursa, I have to say I do not recall such a crazy, mistakes, things going wrong, miss communications and machines not working Retro Mercury. This one is both a nightmare and amazing. Not sure what has made it so extreme.

And in two days (16) it is the full moon, a Harvest Moon that comes along with a Lunar Eclipse. This promise to be fun, I mean, peculiar.

I've been having a bizarre time with our phones lately. My dad tried to call my mom (they live in a different country) and this shows up as a missed call on my IPad. Stuff keeps happening like that. All my D FaceTime calls are suddenly showing up on my mom's iPad. No obvious setting that explains it. So strange.

Of all the things to break/not to be in order, the thermometer's battery had to be it. And there wasn't one for sale. They had dozens of types of batteries, but none fit. We are going to have to wait a couple of days for the right one to arrive.

This Retrograde Mercury has been something.

I am always a little sceptical of these things about the moon, although in the natural world, I can see how the phases affect the tides (I am a sailor), childbirth ( I am a woman and mother ;)), animals...

Since Friday:

My washing machine broke down (I had to buy a new one >:();
My sewing machine slowed down to a crawl while trying to make new curtains (got it fixed yesterday);
Two of my dogs had an all out fight in front of my dad, which was very upsetting to him and to me especially (he insists I get rid of the dog as she is a danger :'() - they are a little better now, but still not great and this morning, another fight broke out among the others - the 'dangerous' one is in the kennel, separate from the other three;
I lost my bank/debit card :( Can't find it for the life of me, I found a lipstick I lost, though!); and
Insomnia reigns! :-\

How much longer, do you say? ???

Mitzpah,

I am as skeptical as you are... usually....

22 September ends the Mercury Retrograde (with the Autumnal Equinox to boot) so, according to prevailing wisdom, the technology and communication issues should start tapering off....

Dog fights are nasty, especially when the females are involved or doing it... Just like the normal world  ;), when the males fight, there is a lot of noise and dust but it is mostly show. The females are quiet but they go for blood..... I have been in a couple of classes on dog behavior and in the videos, what looks like a HUGE fight between males, you can see that they are snapping just in front of the faces or so and, if there IS blood, it is usually a surface wound. The females go for the throat because THEY are the ones that are responsible for the continuation of the pack as they are the ones that can have the puppies... I really hope that you can get them sorted out...

Thanks :)

You are right about the dogs, though. They are all females and have all been on heat recently,  especially the boxer who is still 'dripping' (TMI). They do go for each others throats :'( :'( It is terrifying and upsets me no end. I really wish I could have just one dog but with h. dropping his two (boxer and mongrel) off on me while we have two lab girls  :(... - Interestingly the worst animosity is between the dogs that came from h. The boxer is so much stronger than the mongrel. The labs can be surprisingly vicious which seems surprising as they are seen as gentle dogs. I am looking for a new owner for the boxer, as much as I dearly love her. :( She needs to go to a house where there are no other dogs :(

And here I was, thinking the Mercury retrograde had ended
I am somewhat skeptical by nature but always pay close attention to UM's posts
Hot water heater-broken
Tire-bad
Work-people driving me CRAZY
Insomnia-still reigning

My bday is 9/22. I should STAY HOME and get UNDER my bed if the last few days are any indicator
Sigh.

Yes thermometer, the device to measure temperature. It become a real important thing in the home because of grandmother.

And yesterday the interned decided to go nuts.

By the 22 things may already have calmed down, Jo. At least I hope so.
