Anjae, what a great list!  Really love the last one about dancing around the house. :)  I never really danced until my H got me out there and then all bets were off.  I'm actually going to sign up for a dancing class so that I can have some fun again... hoping to meet some people that will want to go out dancing.

Ready2Transform, I hadn't thought about getting out and connecting with nature more.  I do love being outdoors and have felt better when I can get out and walk outside even when it's so very hot out.  I think I will start doing more outdoor type things to see how that makes me feel.

Thunder, love that view from the other side.  I think that's something I would work on with my H is helping him understand the introverted side of me better. ;)

Watcher, same here.  I don't want to live my life as a hermit... I loved the side of me that my H brought out.  I felt like he taught me how to live my life instead of just having a life.  I will work on getting that energy back again... just seems to take time.

FH, I know that it used to bother me that my H would talk to everyone... but now I know that he just does because he's so extroverted.

Elegance, it's interesting how much we can shift from being extroverted to introverted and back again.  I had someone tell me once that just because you know that you are introverted, don't let it define who you are.  I think that there are times where I can be very extroverted, like at work (a comfortable space that I know very well), but outside of it, I am introverted.  I think that's part of the journey we are on as well right now too.  We turtle a little because we are trying to protect our Self from what's happening... then eventually we start to come out of our shells again.

JBC, you bring up a good point about them coming back.  I wonder, if the MLCer is extroverted, do they seem to boomerang more?  Or does it really matter?

HAHAHA Thunder.  I loved" The funny thing I learned about myself, I'm drawn to Introverts.  Extraverts are too much like me and I find them annoying.
Go figure.   :)"  That's me too!!!

Seeing The Light - I don't know if extroverts are more prone to boomerang.  I honestly don't know if my stbxh is an extrovert or introvert.  He's kind of in the middle.  He's boomeranged all over the place and finally shut down.  I think he's just taking some time off cause he's tired.  LOL

I think when they boomerang it really has nothing do with whether they are introverts or not.  I think they are just in an emotional whirlwind when they boomerang and I thing it has more to do with how they handle emotions.  Some lock them away and control them better than others or just avoid them entirely (I believe those are vanishers) and others like my stbxh have little understanding or control over their emotions even though they think they control EVERYTHING and when they can't control their emotions they just flip the hell out.  Like a 3 year old who managed to keep it together in the store when he was told no to a toy but flips out when he gets in the car because he didn't get the toy.  LOL

GAL does not mean that we have to go out and/or meet new people, it just means to do things we like, or find new things we like.

Options to introverts (that can apply to anyone)
- Reading
- Walking, running, swiming
- Painting
- Arts & Crafts
- Take an on-line course
- Chess (online or in a chess group, chess requires silence, instropection and thinkin)
- Gardening (in the absence of a garden, a terrace, balcony or even kitchen window will do)
- Writing
- Photography
- Going to museums and art galeries
- Making Jigsaw Puzzles
- Do crosswords or words puzzles
- Watch movies/tv series home (or, in the case of movies, in the cinema. it can be done alone).
- Dance around the house

Great list, great quote. I'm only adding it again because it's also a great list for extroverts. Especially on those days when we're feeling down. When I was going through my post BD depression, I actually didn't want to meet anyone. I remember dragging myself out of the house for dinner/ jazz with an old friend, but feeling that I didn't really want to be there.

I'd add to that list: going on a retreat (I went on several Buddhist retreats). They're great for inner silence, reflection, calming meditation.

Absolutely! My very introverted H was a boomerang. On the other hand, as an introvert, he has fewer friends than I do.

Finding Hope,
My H too is in law enforcement and used to be a huge extrovert.  Since MLC he is very much an introvert; oftentimes saying "I'm on an island".  I am personally in between the two.
