Off-Topic Re: Election thread # 5

Thundarr,

Let me explain something that I did to learn more about Muslims and Islamic culture. I am from NYC and I know Many Muslims, yet never knew much about their culture.

I personally find them to be very kind and peaceful. So after 9/11 I knew it was time for me to learn more because it seemed the news just got everything wrong for what I thought I knew.

So from 2001 until about 2009, I personally lived my life learning everything I could about Islam. Some would call a spiritual journey. I visited Mosques, I ate and prayed like they did and did everything I could to try to figure out why it was America had such a bias toward them when I personally never saw that any type of hatred ifrom them in the least.

Not once did I ever meet a 'terrorist' or anyone plotting to kill Christians, or anything that was of ill will. They were the kindest people I ever met!

I would suggest you do the same or something like that to actually meet people in person and learn their way of life. You just may be surprised, yet you will defiantly  learn a whole lot you never knew before.

This message goes to anyone who might be interested in learning about any people, any culture, any religion in this country or anywhere else. Expand your horizons and meet some really nice people, learn new things you just may never have if you never went out your way to.

Elegance, I know several Muslims and have nothing negative to say about any of them.  As I said, the vast majority are wonderful people but some are VERY bad.  We have plenty of room for the good but none for the bad.

So it's ok for the 'bad'  Americans to stay?

Do you have any proof, or are you just going by what someone told you?

Proof that there are militant Islamic terrorists?  Uh, 9/12.  Pulse nightclub.  Bowling Green.  San Bernardino.  Do you not believe they exist?

Bad Americans should be in jail.  We don't deport citizens when they commit horrible crimes like many countries do.  We handle our own, but the last thing we need is their established criminals who they won't allow back in over here and unfortunately we already have many here.

In defense of California seeking Federal help, do you realize that California is the source of more agricultural products than any other state? That if the largest dam in the country were to fail, that it could devastate agriculture that feeds the entire country, as well as is a source of export income for the nation? Prices would be higher for you, and there might even be shortages of some things. This might inform you better about how important a dam in California is for you there in Texas:

Many of those crimes you mentioned were done by Americans.

Do you have any idea why some do those crimes?

Because of the oppression, discrimination and bigotry of many in this country.  They were fed up and that is the way they chose to express it.

9/11 I can't say for sure it was done by Muslims. That is still up in the air for me. I am no conspiracy theorist, I admit I just have no answers.

Yet a man who lived in a cave to me is a reach and far fetched. It was just never proven to  me where I can say yea Osama did it. I just don't know for sure who did.

You're no conspiracy theorist but don't believe Muslim terrorists did 9/11?  What about San Bernardino or the Pulse nightclub?  All the other terror attacks in the world?  Do you only trust the media when they paint a negative picture of Trump?

Perhaps not a single terror attack, but definitely a drastic increase in violent crimes and especially rapes:

Are you kidding me Thundarr???
That's ONE politician's idea, and actually most people seem to be against that. What does that have to do with the terror attack that Trump said took place in Sweden on Friday?

I'm so sick of Trump's lies and those who keep defending him.
