Discussion The Current Soundtrack to your MLC
« on: March 13, 2018, 05:56:45 PM »
I was driving in the car listening to a song and I started thinking that there were many songs that I used to get through this past year.  Some of it was the music that got me by, others were the lyrics, and some were both.  I was curious as to what song sums up your current life dealing with MLC.  There's no rules, just let it out.

For me I listened to a lot of Pink Floyd and Springsteen.  My current soundtrack is Springsteen's version of Trapped:

Seems like I'm caught up in your trap again
Seems like I'll be wearing the same old chains
Good will conquer evil and the truth will set me free
And I know someday I will find the key
I know somewhere I will find the key

Seems like I've been playing your game way too long
Seems the game I've played has made you strong
When the game is over I won't walk out the loser
I know I'll walk out of here again
I know someday I'll walk out of here again

[Chorus] Well now I'm trapped Ooh yeah

Seems like I've been sleeping in your bed too long
Seems like you've been meaning to do me harm
But I'll teach my eyes to see beyond these walls in front of me
Someday I'll walk out of here again
Someday I'll walk out of here again

[Chorus] Well now I'm trapped Ooh yeah

I listen to alot of heavy metal. Cant stand to listen to any love songs anymore. Korn, Metallica, 5 finger death punch, static x, rob zombie, Marilyn manson. Snuff by slipnot sums it up right now. Its kinda of love song but a dark one.

Yeah, definitely no love songs unless they are about somebody going through agony like us!  When I don't want to think I rock it out with 80's metal bands, Avenged 7 Fold, and Foo Fighters.

blue rose - I don't listen to a lot of Slipknot, but I do love Snuff.

I was listening to Hesitate by Stone Sour today and it summed up my mood nicely from yesterday.

You were my fire, so I burned
Til' there was nothing left of me

I, I touched your face, I held you close
Til' I could barely breathe

Why give me hope, then give me up
Just to be the death of me
Save the rest of me

'Cause I see you, but I can't feel you anymore - so go away
I need you, but I can't need you anymore, you hesitate

Now, now and then, you come around, like there's something left for me
We were one, we were everything
I'm still here, but I'll just keep the rest of me

Cuz I see you, but I can't feel you anymore, so go away
I need you, but I can't need you anymore, you hesitate

We never made it, you hesitated, I don't believe
That I see you, but I can't feel you anymore - so go away
I need you, but I can't need you anymore, you hesitate

Cuz I see you, but I can't feel you anymore, so go away
I need you, but I can't need you anymore, you hesitate, hesitate
You were my fire, so I burned, now there's nothing left of me

Bluerose, I love all the same music.  Godsmack and Disturbed is in there too...but here's one for you:

From my experience if my H had let me go a long time ago, and stop pressuring me, begging, and pleading and just let go I possibly would have experienced my awakening sooner than I did.
