Off-Topic Hurricane Irene: Stay Safe East Coasters!
OP: August 27, 2011, 03:18:50 PM
This is to send good thoughts to all my fellow east coast LBS dealing with Hurricane Irene. Hope you all stay safe and sound. I am sad tonight as I think of going through this alone, without my H (or any sign of concern from him). But I am safe and will be ok. Sending hugs to you all!

I am HOPING that this is more Hype than reality.

But we shall see.

Looks like we will have a lot of flooding but we will see how high  the wind gets here.
Right now it sounds like the winds are on a little decline.

I am 60 miles north of NYC so I should not have a problem.
But they have been talking about Asbury Park NJ so I hope Learning is OK.

FTT checking in. I´m good to go- gutters cleaned, pool siphoned, pond drain pipes cleared, attic windows shut. Kerosene lantern ready as well as candles and flashlight. Might just got to bed and sleep through it. My big worry is that the wussy canines will pee in the house rather than go outside. Nothing like the odor of dog pee on wool carpeting:)

Pray we keep our power on!
