Star, you've said it yourself, just knowing the sign is not enough. Rising, along with the moon and venus, play a large part as well. So, not all Gemini will act the same way.

Wanna know a funny thing? A friend did charts for me and my husband (after he left). His shows a crisis at midlife! Can you believe it?... :o

Definitely, the whole chart matters but I don't have any way to figure out the other aspects of his chart. I don't know the time of his birth :-\.

I believe it! I take it all with a grain of salt but it really does turn out to be true a lot of times.

If you do not know the time of his birth, do it with assumed sunrise. Usually the moon and venus do not change within the same day.

Well, I also take it with a garin of salt. But husband does indeed have a MLC.  ;D-

Oh, I'll try that then, Annej. The entire first year he left, reading these silly horoscopes kept me going. I, literally, had a list of at least ten good sites that I went to *every single day* to read our signs. The main thing about it was, it kept me on a routine with something to look forward to everyday and it really helped me. It was the only way I would allow myself a glimpse into his world, albeit realistic or not  ;D  It made sense. It was all very revealing.

What is rising is it the time i was born....i was born on a sunday at 1800 hours and my star sign is aquarius.........my h was born on a monday evening he is a leo what does this mean....im interested in astrology but have not heard of rising xxxxxx

WGH, to know someone rising, moon, venus, etc, one needs the time of birth (or, lsunrise, ess acurate but will help), the years, and the town plus country.

Rising sign or Ascendant is "The Ascendant (or rising sign) is often considered the mask one wears when meeting others. Perhaps it is most aptly thought of as the automatic responses to one's environment. The Ascendant shows our natural defenses and how we cope with day-to-day issues. The energies of the sign and condition of the Ascendant are most overt and obvious to others. The Ascendant shows an individual's first, natural reaction to new people and situations."

The moon "represents our deepest personal needs, our basic habits and reactions, and our unconscious. " and venus "The sign position of Venus reveals the "role" we take on when we want to attract love. But, it goes well beyond mere flirtation -- we "act like" this sign when we are involved in personal, one-to-one love relationships...whether we are on our first date or celebrating our 40th Anniversary.

It is important to note that when we play a Venusian role, we do not truly "act" or put on a show, per se. The character traits of our Venus sign are genuine traits that come from within us. However, they are activated most powerfully, or highlighted, when we are in love.".

There are other planets that make the whole chart, but the sign, rising, moon and venus will give you the essence of a person. Mercury is important for communication and Mars for the way you handle conflict.

I read my and my H's horescope's every morning....first thing..:)

I also got a "reading" back in July...that said my H would be taking a trip and that he was going to find what he needed.
and the end result was that our M would stay in tact....;) Waiting to see if that is true...H is still on that trip. :)

  Cancer and Capricorn go well together. Unless one of the Cancer women is a low life scum sucking affair down who has nothing to show for 47 years on this planet except for my confused H. Then Cancer and Capricorn crash and burn because infidelity destroys itself. I don't need to do anything but Stand over here with the Ds holding the fort. :) :) Right? DGU..

But apparantly Virgo/Scorpio is a fantastic match....ew barf!!!!
