Off-Topic Gratitude
OP: November 23, 2011, 05:47:11 PM
I'm thankful for Jesus, who gave everything for sinners like me.
I'm thankful for my family.
I'm thankful for this stupid crisis that has forced me dig deep and heal where I didn't even know there were wounds.

I am thankful for so many things.

I have a wonderful family who has really supported me this year.
I have a new found relationship with God.
I have met so many strong and wonderful people through this website that have helped me get through this situation, with love, and support, and a kick in the pants when needed.
I have a home with heat, food in the fridge, clothes in the closet.
I have a job.
I have me.

I'm thankful for my family who has put up with my nonsense for the past few years and now lets me stay in their home with all of my "stuff" and my two cats. :)

And I'm thankful that I have everything I need. I can't honestly say that I'm in need of anything.

oh, and I'm thankful for music and the simple things in life that make me smile. :)

I'm thankful for my H being such a good H all those 16 years together to hold me over through this alien abduction of his personality.
I'm thankful for my sister and Best GF and this board for saving me when I was in the deepest despair of my life.
I'm thankful for my 3 daughters who I cherish even more for their strength and caring and wisdom!
I'm thankful my parents for raising me well. Making me go to college and finish and instilling in me "When the going gets tough the tough get going" and taking me to church and Catholic school so I could be close to God.
I'm thankful for a great job and great friends at work who understand.
I'm grateful for my in laws who are supporting me 100% and ignoring my H until he comes to his senses.
I'm thankful for my dog and cat. Warm and snuggly next to me in bed at night.
I'm thankful for my dentist who always takes good care of me! ;D
I'm thankful for my keen intuition which has helped immensely.
I'm thankful for good health. ::)
I'm thankful for wings with honey BBQ sauce :o :o
I'm very thankful for Rebel Yell for asking.......made me think.

H - still a Vanisher - Maybe he will realise one day what he's lost...but after years of heart-searching finally it doesn't matter any more! I never thought when I was devastated in 2010 after 28 years of marriage - I could be happy again...but it's true - I'm done spinning my wheels - I learned to walk on the sunny side of the street and leave the shadows behind me. Brand new life for me & it feels good to be free of all the drama. No such thing as MLC - just men/women who run away & are too cowardly to talk about their issues, just cheat with other cheaters! Don't waste your gift of life on these pathetic spouses - live life & enjoy...don't waste your life wondering why...you will never know...Trust is precious don't waste it on people who don't know know what it means...

Great Thread Rebel!

I am Thankful I found other LBS's!  :)

My kids, who are really the heart and soul of my family.

My DAD, to much to say about him.

My inlaws, who invited me in tonight when I dropped the little ones off, and I felt the love of 20 years.

And I guess my ex, who for 20 years believed in me enough to be thankful for a lot in my life.

I am thankful for my health (save for a few minor issues)
I am thankful for a new relationship with God
I am thankful for my family, my daughter and so many family members who helped me remember who and what I am.
I am thankful for my friends who have been so very, very patient with me
I am thankful for my father and his wisdom and love
I am thankful for my brothers, who are supportive even if they don't understand everything I say
I am thankful for a wonderful job with very supportive and caring colleagues who remind me that I have much to give to the world.
I am thankful that I have learned alot about myself through this crisis with my H. I have learned that I can live alone and am capable and able to manage alone.
I am thankful that I am not bitter, angry and resentful toward my H.  I have compassion and I can still feel love. The crisis did not beat those things out of me.
I am thankful for finding this forum and many, many people who are kind, caring, supportive, wise, honest and willing to offer such support and guidance to me.  This forum gave me an opportunity to really understand what was and is happening in my marriage and with my H.

Gratitude
#9: April 14, 2013, 03:37:25 PM
apologies if this thread already exists.

I am grateful for my W leaving me. She had courage to end what was awful when i didnt have the courage or ability to try and fix it.
it has created a wonderful opportunity for me to grow and for me to mend years of damage with the children.
i make it a goal to mend every relationship and have nothing against anyone.
I am grateful because i now love myself whereas before i could not.

what are you grateful for?

cheers ben

Our spouse and children are our mirror.
This is good and i accept it as God's plan for me to grow and become more like Christ.
