April 4-5 or 11-12?  I can't stay for either of the Sundays before Easter due to church commitments, but could come for the Fri/Sat.

I'm definitely up for it :) Birmingham is the nearest airport to there, I'll have to go through Birmingham on the train to get to Stratford upon Avon. I don't think I've ever been there either, so it'll be nice to go somewhere new for a change :)

  • Strength and honour are her clothing;
What about the 25th - 27th April?
Easter is done by then and so is Shakespeare's birthday and the town is usually heaving and hotels very busy then so the weekend after might be a good time??

Or April 5th and 6th?

Definitely count me in. Just in case Serenity, Callan G and others haven't seen this, we should drop by their threads and give 'em a nudge.

I will fit in around others. Broadly agree that April possibly better than May. Weather improving in April, prices lower. May half term bound to clash with holiday plans.  Just not April 30th, as it's my birthday.  Well, then again - why not April 30th!?  I'm game!   8)

Stayed - if you were come on it would truly be icing/cherry on cake!  I would think Birmingham would be easier for flights/connections, but what do I know?  I will try to browse some possible accommodations in a mo, just to put some flesh on the bones of this, as it were.  Aware of cost implications - so will try to keep it as low as possible and/or find a deal.

How many probables are we so far?

Affair discovered; three moves out and three attempts at return during 2012, culminating in "I'm not coming back" statement. Then DIY separation agreement - Feb 14 - which I wouldn't sign. He moved in with OW in 10/14 and I heard little more. I instigated D in 2016.  He's still living in rental with OW and her D but the cracks are starting to appear.

This is quite a good site for group accommodation at budget prices.  This particular example (within reach of Birmingham International) seems to be £12 per person (per night, I guess?).   Self-catering.

Hello everyone,

Definitely up for a meet.  April is good, as is Midlands, I'm a Midlander originally  8)  8) Stratford, Birmingham, all good.

If we meet in Stratford, Birmingham, for all our friends across the way, would recommend flying in and out of Birmingham, not too big an airport and good links to other cities.

Looking forward to meeting you all.
Love & light

UKS, you've just sent me back to being 16 again and laugh out loud.  I went to Bilberry Hill with my school, age 16, about 30 of us, it was great fun, and I've never forgotten it.

I like UKStander's idea of a group accommodation if there's enough of us coming.  With it being out in the country, will there be enough drivers to shuttle people around?  (D13 and I would most likely come up by train; I don't drive here.)

WhatNext might be able to give some numbers on how many came to Ireland last year; I'm guessing there could be a fair amount of overlap.

Royal Shakespeare is putting on Henry IV Parts I and II from March to September, as well as another play or two.  I was hoping for the Peter Pan and Wendy, but it ends the beginning of March:

We could come up for a day or two pretty much any weekend in April other than Easter, whatever suits most schedules.

I like the look of that accomadation as well :) If there's enough of us going by train, then we could arrange to meet at Birmingham international and get a taxi between us. I'll be coming by train and bringing s20 with me :)
