Good4you,

I am in Ireland but travel to the Eastcoast, US a couple of times a year for work (July & Sep so far planned this year).  I would love to know if/when an LBS gathering was happening so I could gatecrash!  I haven't been able to get the dates right to meet the UK group or follow them and others to Luxembourg but I know it would be great to meet face-to-face!

Shantilly,

I know how you feel, I googled MLC Ireland a couple of times and only got Sports Car or Bikers clubs, I can't be the only LBS here!

In the meantime if you ever find yourself in Melbourne, keep an eye out for H (where he has escaped to) and let him know we love and miss him and that some day the LBS nation will rise and take back what is rightfully theirs, no place to hide then!

Hello FB LG SL and L

The negative part is all of the LBS' being scattered around the world but the positive part is this shows that MLC is not  just a bunch of crazy greedy Americans :)
I would be more than happy to travel the world meeting each and every one of the LBS around the world if I had an unlimited amount of frequent flier miles ....maybe we could get word out to Bono or Brad Pitt and they could start a charity for us. I can just see us know singing in the background for the music video of "ditched but still standing "  .  Then there will be the TV spots taped around the world of various LBS looking distraught and in desperate need of donations to a fund that is poorly managed. I figure there is a fund for everything and everyone else why not LBS. It would bring awareness and education to all -not be hidden like some dirty secret- then just maybe there would be a method to reduce the amount of pain and destruction that it causes each and everyone of us.
I am sorry if anyone finds this offensive. Sometimes laughing make me feel better and if I cannot laugh at myself and my situation then I know I am screwed.
Hope everyone has a good day wherever you may be -just remember we always have each other- we are never truly alone as long as we keep coming back to this wonderful place.

I made a choice to finally let go, because I can't stand the pain, it's time for my last tear to fall and smile again.

LBS Anthem

I guess it depends on what demographic we are aiming for in our financial aid.  If it's the 18-25 crowd then I guess we need Ti, Pitbull, Neo or Usher ( I don't know exactly who these singers are but my sister and nephews were listening to their music when I visited them) or maybe Tim McGraw, Faith Hill , Rascal Flatts, or Kenny Chesney -country music is always good for a song about a man mistreating his wife.
Disclaimer here...I love country music so please don't get upset . I am not fond of rap music but it's common to hear people walking singing  "love the way you lie" by Eminem and Rhianna about two people beating the crap out of each other. Crazy song that really upsets me.

In Atlanta......would love to find a group to meet up with.  You are also welcome to PM me and we can call each other....I have done that with a few LBS on this forum......it is of great comfort to talk to others in the same predicament as you are in!!!  My family and friends and son just do not get it at all.....they tell me to let him go and move on.  So much easier said than done.....wish they could walk a day in shoes.....they might have more compassion and empathy for what I am going through.

Love to chat anytime....

Next time we do the Buggy, LettingGo, FTT, MelanieB, Sewsad gathering, you are welcome to come up and spend the night. I think MelanieB gets the credit for me realizing that I will make it either way.

The other day at the cafe, Bugs, LettingGo and I were laughing it up and I´m sure that if someone had asked what brought us together, they would NOT have believed that we all had WAS issues. It will raise your spirits in an unimaginable way to meet other LBS.

Take care,
FTT

Whyme2, I was just through Atlanta last week but to be honest I would feel strange being a man and meeting up
with a female I didn't know. Maybe a large group wouldn't be so bad though?
Hey if it happens, I volunteer to make name badges for everyone!

FTT is right... we laughed a LOT, even though all we talked about was our sad stories!  :o That is survival for ya!! I'm looking forward to hearing some of FTT songwriting, as soon as I buckle down and figure something out that is probably super simple, LOL!!

His Angel, let us know when you will be in New York... my Mom lives in NYC and our favorite Irish Pub, where we take our Irish relatives, is right around the corner from her... I can't offer a place to stay, but would try and meet you in the city if that's where you go, or you could ride the train down her to PA and hang with us!! I think the meeting in person after so many months of anonimity is a boon... I feel safe enough meeting just about any of you!

First of all, I would love to go to Australia. I also would love to go to the UK but all the UK LBSers would have to have a collection to pay for my bail and court fees for my golfing practice using OM's body as a tee.

Judge: "Mr. Ready, you are being charged with striking OM eight times. How do you plead?"
Mr. Ready: "You honor it was a par five hole and I took a penalty shot for my first shot landing in the rough. I also took to swings at what I was positive was a very small snake in the rough. Then I went ahead and finished on par. I plead innocent."

Of course, I would be released three years later and my w would be out of MLC and ready for me to come back. Unfortunately for her, I would be involved with om and I mean several OM. LOL

I am all up for a Western US conference. Have a great evening.
