So I am only back from Tuscany, and I was totally bummed it was over.
Nothing quiet like finding your 'tribe' and being away with normal super human people to make you miss it before you even leave.
So I am doing what everyone does when they have a massively good time on holiday then go home to figure out what the next one is!
Obviously it might be some time away depending on everyone's needs, and saving up money and such...but I thought maybe even if we just started to throw around some ideas about what our next adventure could be...it would help ease that feeling you know?
So if you got to come to Tuscany, or had to miss out and wished you had come... what would you be interested in doing next?
Maybe we could all list like our top 5 trips we would like to take with a group and go from there?

Anywhere closer to Australia (insert praying hands). Glad you had a great time. I went to one in 2014 - one of my best holidays ever :)
-
Well, Scotland is well worth a visit....and 3am LBS whisky sounds nice :)
-
On my wish list and a childhood dream was to see the Loch Ness monster....

Shall I just send Beast out for a swim then?

Are you in Scotland Treasur? That's where I am too :)
-
Nope..not me...east coast of England. But have always had a soft spot for Scotland and spent patches of time there. I think Edinburgh is one of the most beautiful cities in the world tbh....but did spend a fab week on Islay once which was beautiful in a different way :)
-
Ah right. Yes, Edinburgh is a beautiful city - and the rest of the country pretty stunning too - feel very lucky to live with all of that right on my doorstep :)
-
I vote anywhere in the states, FL is nice:)
-
I hear Arizona is a wonderful place to visit!
;)

Hi Morte, great idea!! I'm also missing my LBS friends today! There's something very comforting about being surrounded by people just like me.
I would like something in the UK, even a mix like a couple of nights in London, a couple in the Lake District then on to Scotland. Rent one big minivan and drive all together, stop for tea and scones on the way....Lovely pub dinner.....a few antiques?
I'm also thinking there's quite a few in the UK and that will make it affordable. We might need two meet ups, one in the US and one in Europe. As LBSs our finances are tight.

A beach vacation would be nice

Well happy to organise something here by the sea in English Suffolk lol

All of these locations sound wonderful to me. However, I am still digging out from H leaving me nothing and having to rebuild from there. It has been 4 years and my kids and I are finally getting sound footing again. Anyone up for Minnesota? Lutsen (northen) is an absolutely gorgeous spot on Lake Superior.
-
I'd be up for almost anything - including Minnesota! - as long as it is during school vacation.
Scotland has my attention, and anyone interested in Costa Rica? I have a connection there.
-
I'd go anywhere in the UK and beyond although obviously does depend upon funds...
-
Lutsen's is a beautiful spot, Ruby. So is Duluth or anywhere along the North Shore.
It would be closer to Stillbaffled. Hey maybe we could swing by and have that pole party. ;D
-
IF it's in the States...... somewhere with roller-coasters...... fun ones, not the LBS ones....... 8) ;D
I want an after-ride photo of a coaster train upside down full of LBS's screaming.
Wouldn't that be grand?

Not many of us Canadians here I suspect. I am really going to go anywhere ya’all settle on. And I mean that! I shall drag Tyks with me one way or another !

Yes, the North Shore of Lake Superior is quite beautiful. Duluth, Two Harbors, Lutsen, Tofte, Silver Bay, Grand Marais......it's a fabulous stretch of shoreline and cities.
A pole barn party!??! For sure, but it will have to be spring or fall so we don't get too hot or too cold, or be eaten by mosquitoes!
I also would be open to anywhere, as long as it isn't early in the fall.

Standing Strong, I think The Mall of America sounds perfect for you! ;D

I would be interested in any UK, or Europe destination. It fits in with my bucket list of trips which I am on a quest to finish while I am still young enough to get travel health insurance that costs less than the trip. ::)

Texas ya'll!!!
