I´m at Micky D´s. The power went out AFTER the rain passed. I thought I was in the clear. Good thing I finished cooking lunch minutes before the fizzle. Don´t forget to unplug your expensive stuff as the surge from restored power can fry things. And don´t do what I did to the last modem - it wasn´t plugged into a surge protector.
I picked up a bunch of sticks and then thought the better of it with all the gusts and old trees.
Stay safe,
FTT

Oh thank goodness Irene is on her way out of here.  We got 7.8 inches of rain at my house between saturday and sunday and now it's just the wind.  It is blowing like crazy but the rain is gone ... woo hoo!!  I didn't even lose power out so not so bad after all.  We do have a person missing tho that went out in a canoe on a flooded street with a friend and their canoe flipped over and one of them is still missing.  I sure hope we have a positive outcome on this because it is such an unnecessary loss if he is not found.  I hope everyone on here that was in the path of this storm is safe.
Until then,
