Off-Topic Scripture
OP: April 15, 2011, 11:31:41 AM
There are times when I find such comfort in a verse from the Bible. I thought maybe we could all share those verses that play over and over in your mind...those that give you comfort.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart
   and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see" Hebrews 11:1

"You enrich my life and are a source of joy and consolation to me. But if I lose you, I will not, I must not spend the rest of my life in unhappiness."

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."

  • What God has joined together, let no man separate.
Re: Scripture

There is no peace for the wicked.

No weapon formed against us shall prosper.

If God is for us, who can be against us?

Man shall not separate what God has joined together.

A man must not divorce his wife.

Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time;it speaks of the end and will not prove false.  Though it linger, wait for it;    Habakkuk 2:2-3

Love never fails.

Those that wait upon the Lord shall soar like eagles.

Finally be strong in the Lord and his mighty power. Put on the full armor of GOD so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of GOD so that when the day of evil comes , you  may be able to stand your ground and after you have done everything, to stand.

Ephesians 6:10-13

I made a choice to finally let go, because I can't stand the pain, it's time for my last tear to fall and smile again.

Thanks for all the great contributions.

I am always amazed at how frequently I hear the same verses.
