OK, if this is now "celebrities' MLC's" then I can add tennis star Chrissie Evert to this list -- this year the papers actually used the phrase "mid-life crisis" when describing how she quite suddenly (a few years ago, now) divorced her husband of many years and the father of her 3 sons to marry someone whose name I can't at all remember but who was generally regarded as not good.....  ..

She married Greg Norman, a golf star, but then that was the nasty break up after that.
More script. IMHO.

I think it was absolute script, OP -- and the impression I got from that article was that she even recognised it as such, after waking up.

Well, if she is disfigured in her face, he is the one whose brain is disfigured.
I actually voted for him....and of course I did not know this at the time.  I am quite glad now that he didn't win...he's had enough rewards that he does not deserve.

You know what gets me?  In his imprisonment, he had many opportunities to leave, being the son of a high ranking officer. But he would not go...would not leave his fellow prisoners behind.  Yet, that is the exact opposite of what he did to his wife.  No loyalty at all to the one person whom he pledged to have it with and who should have mattered more than anyone (their kids included).

Makes me sick.  Thank you for sharing this because I didn't know anything other than that he had been married previous to Cindy.  I'm taking back the respect I had for him here and now.

Gross.

Unfortunately, it is a story of non-reconciliation and probably a standing LBS.  She was probably an emotional affair down but she had some things he has decided he likes--looks, money and connections...  Some MLCers do well--that's what I have always felt about mine--she does give him a lot of things I never could, so I have reason to think he's never leave her.  And then there's Newt, and John, and so many other politicians who feel nothing about leaving women who aren't helpful anymore...

The Heinz heiress/McCain marriage is a sham.  They do not live together, haven't for years.  She lives in her various houses around the country while he lives in Washington.  She only came out of "hiding" to help him campaign (as I'm sure there was something in it for her).  Sad to say, but I think 1st wife is the winner, as she no longer has to ride that ride and she has free medical for life.  He's a nutty old jerk and has something odd growing out of his face.

It's nice to be able to throw all my anger at my MLC'r at John McCain.  Thanks for this thread!  ;)

Not completely certain about this, but I think McCain's wife is heiress to a beer distributor, Hensley.  John Kerry's wife is the Heinz heiress.

I think McCain has had skin cancer removed from his face.

I never liked McCain, he's a warmonger. Then I found out about his leaving his first wife, before I was involved in MLC. Then I HATED him. I didn't realize that he and wife #2 didn't really live together. And yes, I think wife #1 is the winner here. Also, FYI, John Gray, author of Men Are from Mars, Women are from Venus dedicated that book to his 2nd wife. They are now divorced. So much for marital advice from him.
