Oh man. As an LBS and a sort-of musician, I've spent more time with music these past few months than any one person save for my S.

Behold my playlist. Not all songs are of the self-pity variety, however, and there's naturally a leaning toward punk because I still have to be me.

Dearly Beloved (acoustic) - Bad Religion
Find Your Way - Authority Zero
Angel's Wings - Social Distortion
Jordan's First Choice - Against Me!
Velvet Alley - Strung Out
My Sanity - Bad Religion
Gone - Bouncing Souls
Look Who You Are - Pennywise
Fall Back Down - Rancid
Don't Take Me for Granted - Social Distortion

I could go on and on and on, but you get the idea.

Dido White flag

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-fWDrZSiZs

I know you think that I shouldn't still love you
Or tell you that
But if I didn't say it, well I'd still have felt it
Where's the sense in that?
I promise I'm not trying to make your life harder
Or return to where we were
I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be
I know I left too much mess and
Destruction to come back again
And I caused nothing but trouble
I understand if you can't talk to me again
And if you live by the rules of it's over
Then I'm sure that that makes sense
I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be
And when we meet
Which I'm sure we will
All that was there
Will be there still
I'll let it pass
And hold my tongue
And you will think
That I've moved on
I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be
I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be
I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

We see one another sometimes...it is nice...sweet....I find it draining..heard this song today.....

Turn down the lights
Turn down the bed
Turn down these voices inside my head
Lay down with me
Tell me no lies
Just hold me close, don't patronize
Don't patronize me
'Cause I can't make you love me if you don't
You can't make your heart feel something it won't
Here in the dark, in these final hours
I will lay down my heart and I'll feel the power
But you won't, no you won't
'Cause I can't make you love me, if you don't
I'll close my eyes, then I won't see
The love you don't feel when you're holding me
Morning will come and I'll do what's right
Just give me till then to give up this fight
And I will give up this fight
'Cause I can't make you love me if you don't
You can't make your heart feel something it won't
Here in the dark, in these final hours
I will lay down my heart and I'll feel the power
But you won't, no you won't
'Cause I can't make you love me, if you don't

For me it would be something like this at the moment:

When you Believe - BUY Noteworthy version
All of me - John Legend & Linsey Stirling
One - Sleeping at Last
Two - Sleeping at Last
Jolene  - any artist goes
The Greatest Show on Earth - Nightwish
Alpenglow - Nightwish
Come cover me - Nightwish

But I listen all types across the board. For example not so long ago I discovered a grassroots group The Petersons - they are awesome.....  And I could not help noticing Bad Religion by NorthMan84. Love them too.... I am a very mixed bag musically.... These days it's definitely less sad than it was at one point. Hell, I can even enjoy/sing along with Miley's "Nothing Breaks like's a Heart" with smile on my face (that song was tooping the charts at the time of BD, and it was my cry your heart out anthem, LOL).
