My Story 25 years and my wife walked out the door

Good to hear from you, Atari25!

Great to hear that you're turning yourself around. I feel the same about my ex: I wish this hadn't happened, but this is the hand we have to play and we've got to make the best of it.

Everything has a beginning and an end. Life is just a cycle of starts and stops. They're ends we don't desire, but they're inevitable and we have to face them. That's what being human is all about.  -Jet Black, Cowboy Bebop

Thanks for the update, and glad to hear you are doing ok as you are dealing with all this. And your advice is spot on, sometimes it is very hard to hear or see the wisdom in the early days, but its always good to look back and share clarity in hindsight.

I'm 8.5 years ahead of you in the process and I can tell you life is amazing for me now. It will be for you too. There's a lot to do and see and be happy about. 90% is very good!

Keep on livin' it up and enjoy!

This is exactly right. It's so hard to accept what has happened initially. The early days were brutal.

The wisdom I gained  over the last two years is incredible, especially reading and hearing what others have been through and understanding avoidant behavior.   Change after 25-30 years with someone is not easy but it can be done!
