Retro Mercury and New Moon. 
That is an odd combination. Retro Mercury brings back things from the past, New Moon means new beginning and new things. And, yet, one cannot start or get into new things during a Retro Mercury.
And, just to add insult to injury, there was also a solar eclipse last night....
So, I think the new things will be the old things in a new way.
Uhmmmmmm.... I think I'd rather have a root canal...

Eclipses are the most powerful transits that you can experience. They herald major beginnings and endings, burning and purifying.
Solar Eclipses tend to create new beginnings and bright new opportunities.
Usually, they are exciting, are often very positive, and bring news out of the blue.
This Solar Eclipse in Virgo is immensely significant, the major activity cycle for 2016 begins now. The North Node and Virgo-Jupiter are highly active.
We have been building up and preparing for this event of the New Moon Solar Eclipse and the month of September all year!
We are about to be rapidly transported onto the next level of our evolutionary development.
We have two powerful eclipses back to back in September. The Solar eclipse on the 1st September and a Lunar eclipse on the 16th September. NOTE from UM - The Lunar eclipse coincides with the full moon on the 16th as well... We will all feel the effects of the two eclipses but even more so if you have personal planets in your horoscope that are directly aspected by the eclipse.
Eclipses can uproot us, surprise us, and get us moving. They shake us up so that we can move from one level of maturity to another, to a higher plane, very rapidly. Eclipses want us to change, and change we do!
Anything that we have been holding onto that no longer serves our highest purpose will fall away during the two eclipses in September. Wheter that be people, circumstances or limiting and negative patterns of thinking and behaving.
A Solar Eclipse happens when the Earth, Moon and Sun are perfectly aligned in a straight line and Moon covers the Sun’s centre, leaving the Sun’s visible outer edges to form a “ring of fire” or around the Moon.
The moon is in the heart of the Sun. The Sun is burning away and purifying everything that no longer serves our highest good.The eclipse is burning away self-doubt and delusions. You will know what is right and what is good for you.
It is a powerful inner purification of Matter, Consciousness and Spirit.
The Sun is our conscious sense of self, our sense of life purpose, our will and our ability to radiate our essence. The Moon is our feelings, our memory, our needs, and our personal access to our creative source and our unconscious.
When the Moon obscures the Sun, as in a Solar Eclipse, it allows something from the unconscious to leak out past the brilliant light of the conscious self.
The eclipse can provide the necessary catalyst to overcome a circumstance, obstacle (Saturn) or illusion (Neptune)
Any last baggage has to go. We need to travel light as our new path is unfolding, we need to be prepared. We will be rapidly pushed along in a new direction, to our higher path and consciousness. Leaving the past and the old ways behind forever.
Our lives will then rapidly move forward, carrying us to the next level. And to a new and better way of relating to love, to our relationships and to free ourselves of Self-limiting beliefs.
We have the opportunity to burn away old karma in love and dysfunctional patterns forever.
This is heart opening energy
The eclipse happens at the same time as one of the best aspects of the year, Jupiter Conjunct Venus in Virgo.
This eclipse is under the best possible influences promising us success, happiness, growth and abundance whatever occurrences and changes may happen in September.
Jupiter and Venus are at their closest now and won’t be this close again until 2065. So the energy is extremely strong and significant.
Mercury, the ruler of the eclipse, is conjunct Jupiter and Venus.Jupiter expands everything it touches, expanding our capacity to feel joy, love and happiness and bringing good vibes, joy, love abundance and wisdom.
Jupiter is expanding our consciousness and our hearts.
We are essentially reaping the rewards in September for all our hard won efforts, spiritually, physically and materially in September.
Mercury turns retrograde on the 30th August until the 22nd September.Mercury governs our rational mind and communication. Mercury retrograde helps us to turn inward and reflect. Conjunct Jupiter and Venus we are able to access inner wisdom and joy.
The Mercury retrograde will give us a chance to rethink and revalue the path we are on, so that any doubts we may have through the September eclipse season about where we are heading and our life’s purpose, will become clearer to us by the end of September.
Chiron, the wounded healer, is in opposition to Jupiter and Mercury, we can gain much healing, insight wisdom and love during the retrograde period, helping to confirm that we are on the right path, as much will be changing fast and rapidly during the September eclipse period.
Chiron the Shaman and wounded healer is also in Pisces, in exact opposition to Jupiter. Jupiter is on a mission to find the truth. Healing is to be found in the truth.
We will feel clearer, more positive and self-confident about any major decisions or changes to be made by the end of September when Mercury turns direct.
And ultimately we are being guided towards a higher conscious state, higher forms of love and happiness in our lives.
Indeed, with Mars in Sagittarius exactly square the nodes of fate on the day of the retrograde 30th August, we are being pushed to evolve and step up to our life’s purpose and path whether we are ready or not.
The new moon and sun in Virgo are in opposition to Neptune in Pisces. Highlighting The Virgo- Pisces Axis.which symbolises is the connection between Mind, Body and Spirit.
The Virgo Solar Eclipse brings to light any shadow Virgo issues of perfectionism or self-doubt that get in the way of giving our gifts to the world, with fear often being behind these thoughts. The Virgo part of all of us is learning to understand perfection as a process and practice, not an result, and the best way to perfect our skills is to use them. Start where you are, take the first small step, and then the next step will become clear.
When Virgo spends to much time in her mind, she loses her connection with her emotions, Soul and Spirit, leading to anxiety and excessive worrying that can have mental and physical effects. Between the need to let go of knowing every last detail and learn to accept what is, as it is.
