I just looked at the Telegraph's reporting of it, much more bare-bones, as you would expect from a serious broadsheet; it says the usual bland "they retain a mutual respect and love for their children", of course.
For once I found the Sun's much more honest -- it also had another very good observation:
That’s not to say all relationships born of affairs are doomed. Many are happy.
But they still leave behind destruction.
No matter what the situation is, whether it is serial philandering, MLC, even when both partners agree to go their separate ways, if there is an affair involved that is true.
