Oh and please note... one of the recommendations in the reviews is to double the recipe for the sauce... I agree 100% its amazing on mashed potatoes or rice :/

Hey Ziggee,
Wow, you are doing a super job cooking for eight!  I bet you'd have more great cooking ideas for us LBS'ers.  I only have 5 to cook for.

I also make a huge pot of spaghetti sauce and freeze half so on my working days I just have to heat up and cook pasta.

The kids love helping with grating or chopping vege's and I'm grateful for their help!

Not a big fan of the recipe... the kids always ask me... can you make that again?  And I have to say... ummm no probably not... I dont know what I put in that....

I am so lucky.... my kids eat pretty much anything I put in front of them... drives me nuts other kids who wont eat anything less bland then a hot dog.. :/  When you have 8 people to feed... no specialized menus going on...

Ok so over 4lbs of ground beef... GONE... 7-1/2 lbs of mashed potatoes (different LBS ;)) 2 lbs of green beans... gone.. made a pot 2 foot dia by two foot deep of spaghetti sauce... then decided to use same said pan to make a pot of home made chicken soup... both music AND cooking are therapy ;)  Been cooking like a mad man all day it has been so much fun... Small minds are easily amused I guess.

A friend of mine did that... decided he would swap 1/2 per day of video games for learning to play the guitar... 2 years later... he is really good.

An other friend of mine... decided to learn to play drums... now he is really good 10 years later plays in a number of bands

Last friend at 43 deiced to take guitar lessons... has been for two yeas... can't play to save his life... but it gives him such joy :)

I would probably end up like your last friend; horrible at it but happy just to play. ;D

For some of my "get a life" (GAL) activities I:

...decorated my house, my way!
...went to that bookstore I always wanted to go to and couldn't
...took classes at the yoga studio down the block (always wanted to try that)
...went to a women's recovery group (made lots of lady friends that way!)
...once-a-week went out with ladies from the group (but if asked, I just said "I had plans to go out" and didn't specify with whom!)
...watched some movies I had always wanted to see (like those oldies he would never watch)

...actually volunteered!  Volunteering is SO IMPORTANT because at times I'd feel so depressed or lonely, but working at the homeless shelter and at the nursing home put some stuff into PERSPECTIVE!  I didn't have it so bad at all!

Take a few days for yourself, on your own, on a secluded place. Did that this past few days and it was great. Sleep, walk, read, watch movies. Sleep some more.  So peaceful  :)
