In a normal situation I think looking at compatibility in sun signs can be fun and enjoyable especially in a healthy relationship because anything negative will not affect the relationship because it would be taken lightly.  While our partners are in MLC it can be very unsettling for us to look toward horoscopes, tarot etc etc because there are so many frauds out there over the internet and right now many of us are very weak and easily led.  So I just want to discourage anyone from looking for advice in unsafe places.  We have the forum here and we all know how safe we feel here so please take care wherever you seek solutions.

Actually, Jung did established links between the self, shadow, etc and Tarot Cards, the archetypes. He was very much into that as well as into synchronicities.

honour, I think this thread, as Star says, has to be taken with a grain of salt. But Jung may got something out of the signs of the MLCer, LBS and other person.  ;D Or, at least, out of their Tarot Cards.  ;D

I agree with Umare, based on my own experience.

We are looking for answers to this nightmare situation we find ourselves in.  I have always been interested in tarot/physics etc., and I believe there is some truth in it.

It has however ruled my life - I turned to it the moment bomb was dropped.  At one stage I was calling 2/3 times a week and this went on for months.  I stopped for 9 months then when 2nd bomb was dropped I turned to it again.  Some of it has come true.

As some of you may have read on my thread, back in July I was told that my life would turn round in September and I would meet a new man, basically I wouldn't turn back.  I have 'met' someone in September and it really is nice to have the attention and take the focus off my situation.  I'm not ready for a relationship and I get the feeling this man wants more than friendship but because of what I was told, I keep telling myself he's 'the one'. 

Now I'm growing stronger, I want to come away from this, let go and trust my initution and myself.  How do I do it, how do I get past the desparate feeling I need to phone?  I dread to think how much I've spent in the last 3 years and I have nothing to show for it, except debt  :(

Any ideas?

Hi everyone!

I absolutely agree that focusing on horoscopes, etc. is not the best way to get any kind of answers but it's just a hobby *for me*. Also, I've always been curious to see for myself it there's any truth to any of it so I do that by taking note of what signs are going through what over time and by comparing it to my own situation.
 
It's a way for me to get an idea of what he's going through without looking him up on google, stalking his facebook, and contacting him.
I haven't *once* typed his or the other person's name into google search. I chose early on not to even take a glimpse of her face although everyone around me thought I should.

But that's just me. I see how this could get out hand, in some cases, as in your story SpecialK. I'm sorry that you are the dilemma you're in. I wish I had some advice for you. When it comes to money issues, the thing is I don't have *debt* but I don't have any money to begin with anyway, so yeah. I feel your pain. (( Hugs ))

Can I just be sure I am clear what you are saying: to gain an understanding and insight in to what your MLCer is going through you turn to astrology?

Yeah, that's correct but not in the sense that I believe it all. Along with all of that, I've also read many / all of the articles on Rollercoaster writers website ( before there was a forum here ) close to the time of BD and ever since.

SpecialK, you have acquired an addiction. The person at the other end of the phone does not have "special powers", what they have is the skill of "reading" you by picking up signs in the words you use, the questions you ask, the intonation and inflection of your voice etc etc...and then they give you what you want to receive i.e. what you want to hear. In return you give them money and you keep going back and giving them more money so they tell you more stuff. Sound familiar? Yes, the person at the other end of the phone is just a "drug" pusher. And you concede "it has ruled my life". This is why these "hobbies" taken "with a grain of salt" are unhealthy.

You do have something other than debt to show for it...you have confusion. Confusion because of the suggestions placed in your mind. Your feelings are telling you you are not ready for a relationship but the "suggestions" are telling you something contrary.

There is a thread running here entitled "scripture". Members have posted verses that they find uplifting, encouraging and conducive to peace. You could do worse than repeat some of those verses to yourself every day. You will be putting healthy suggestions in your mind. You can choose what you put in your mind. You can control your environment. Far more healthy to place your trust in a God of love than a charlatan at the end of the phone who wants your credit card number.

It won't be easy and it will take time. Addictions are powerful but they can be broken.

If you look to see if there is any truth in it you will find your "truth". But the "truth" will be coincidences, but you will then be done the road of believing the suggestions that the astrological predictions will be telling you. Suggestion is a powerful force. Advertising agencies spend millions and millions to put suggestions in your mind through adverts of every kind. They do it because it works.

You are a product of your biology and your environment. Your biology you can't do much about but you can choose your environment wisely. You can choose what you put in your mind.

Following "signs" can get you in a pickle, you are surrendering your ability to think for yourself. There are those who view astrology as ocult. Is it not ironic that when you joined this forum (see below in bold) you where member 666? Now, is that a sign or a coincidence?

Hey honour,

I get your point of view. I guess a little bit of that logic could be applied to other hobbies such as baking, as well. Had I decided to routinely bake a dozen cookies *every single day* for that first year after Dday, then that could have had the potential, if I let it, to make me gain 100 pounds. I do love to bake  :) But, yeah I get what you're saying.
